Cheerfully naming himself “Dan the telecoms man”, Dan Woods has been an Account Manager with BSAS for three years now.
What is your favourite part of being an account manager?
I love visiting customers and building new business opportunities.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your role?
Initially learning the telecoms ‘language’ and its many variances was tough, but in today’s market it’s all about communicating and consulting on telephony in a manner which the customer can easily understand. Luckily for me, translating the technical and keeping things simple and direct are skills I pride myself on.
What is your favourite product?
Without a doubt the 3CX (unified communications system). Since this became our own in-house phone system my enjoyment and skill set for presenting, demonstrating and using the system has continually grown. The product stands out from the crowd as it is extremely feature rich but has such a user-friendly nature.
Why would businesses want to work with BSAS?
We aim to become an extension of our customers business, through accountability of our services and establishing a level of trust where they never need to worry about any area of their business communications. We genuinely care about our customers and this shines through in the service we deliver on a daily basis.
What technology excites you going forward?
Mobile Apps are the way forward in my opinion. Work remotely, never miss a call, video and conference features, even instant message. Whatever your preferred way to communicate is, a mobile app will cover it!
Outside of work Dan is a life-long Cambridge United supporter; he loves England cricket and enjoying a cold pint in a nice pub garden!
